Join us on the First Friday of each month as we transform the bike shop into a gallery opening. We will be serving complimentary appetizers and wine while we introduce our new artist of the month who's work will adorn on the walls of the cafe.
Lake Elmo resident Terry MacVey has called Washington County home for the better part of 20 years. A graduate of Luther College and the University of Nottingham, UK, he has maintained a lifelong obsession with long distance travel by two wheels - both bicycle and motorcycle. In recent years, Terry has motorcycled and photographed much of the continental U.S. and Canada. He specializes in travel, landscape, portraiture, street, still life and candid photography.
We are honored to have Terry display with us at Chilkoot from his #PROJECT2014, an effort he describes as "1 year, 1 photographer, 5 cameras, 8 lenses, 1 motorcycle, 9,267 miles, 18 US states, 2 Canadian provinces, 1 Mexican state and 200 moments in time" A 200 page coffee table book and custom prints - including those that will be on display - will be available for purchase.
