Enjoy an evening of fun that includes food and drinks, a silent auction, the 53X11 band, and camaraderie to help build a bike program for local kids. This fundraising event will provide opportunities for participants of FamilyMeans’ youth program in the Cimarron community.
FamilyMeans has recently completed a brand new Cimarron Youth Center to better serve this community’s 250 youth. A youth bike program is part of this expansion. The program will be modeled upon our 21 years of similar, successful work in the neighboring city of Landfall. As residents of the St. Croix area, we invite you to help make the Cimarron Bike Program as big a success as Landfall’s by helping us fund the equipment, tools, parts and the first summer of staffing needed to get this program up and running. Our hope is to raise $14,000, with the first $4000 being matched by an existing donor.
The Cimarron Youth Program provides a wide variety of free, year-round enrichment for youth ages 5-18. The Bike Program will be a big part of summer programming, enabling kids to learn skills, build fitness and reach goals. Participants will learn bike repair and pedal around the county, then use than knowledge and effort to earn bikes, parts and accessories
